At Blue Moon, we have crafted and curated a line of slow distilled oils and botanical body blends to give people a true sense, or ‘scent’, of the Australian Bush.
About the Distillers
Blue Moon Distillers was founded in 2023 by the Allen Family on the Sapphire Coast of NSW.
With over 30 years’ experience travelling the globe as a Master Distiller, Jeff Allen was employed by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation as an International Expert of Distillation. Alongside this role, Jeff has travelled with his family to Egypt, Vanuatu, West Timor, Papua New Guinea and beyond, working with First Nations peoples to build sustainable distilling practices.
In 2021 the family was inspired to craft and curate a line of slow distilled oils and botanical massage blends to give people a true sense or ‘scent’ of the Australian Bush, wherever they may land. Throughout their travels it has been scent that has provided the most profound memories; memories that now live with the family in beautiful, nostalgic, grounding, humorous ways. This strong connection to the sensory world has allowed the family to share stories for many years after journeying together, and the idea of Blue Moon's blends being part of your own story is a privilege.
Why Blue Moon?
The name Blue Moon comes from a constellation of places - a rusted sign on an old apple picking shed in Stanley VIC, a blue moon being something rare, in Nature’s timing and a little bit magic and our family’s adoration for the way the moon pulls and sways the oceans.
Now working with an extended team of talented craftspeople, Blue Moon is passionate about bringing you 100% pure, slow distilled oils to enhance your daily rituals.

That’s why we proudly donate 5% of our annual profits to the Sea Women of Melanesia (SWOM), the first all-female marine conservation organisation in the region. Their mission is to empower Melanesian women with the training and resources needed to actively protect and manage marine environments.
